Saturday Afternoon Wine & Cheese Class

Wine & Cheese Pairing Classes 2008:
Dates: March 8, 2008 - Nov. 8, 2008 - Dec. 6, 2008 - Jan. 10, 2009
Time: Saturday Afternoon from 4-5:15 PM
Location: Biscuit Hill Main Dining Room
Price: $15 p/person fee for Biscuit Hill Guests - Others $18 p/person
Includes: Handouts, Tasting of 3 European cheeses (French Fromage D'Affinois, French Saint Agur, & a Spanish Manchego), 3 local Hill Country vineyard wines, bread, fresh fruit, and a finally of cake and 1 glass of champagne.
Details:  All reservations are paid in advance, on a credit card, and are non-refundable. If you are booking a room or suite at Biscuit Hill, please identify in the "Preference" section of our Online booking form that you wish to attend the "Saturday Wine & Cheese Class". The fee will be added to your room bill, and we will send you a new confirmation with the correct total that includes the class. If you are staying at another location, you can call 830-899-4800 to reserve your spot. We are limited to 14 spaces for this class, if the sign-up is less than 10 the class will not take place, and your credit card will be credited with a refund.
Sign-up Cut Off: All class reservations must be made no later than the Saturday prior to the Saturday class you wish to attend (1 week in advance).
Class Objectives:
1.                  A plan on how to approach your cheese choices.
2.                  A guide on arrangement of presentation.
3.                  A guide on order of tasting the cheese & wine.
4.                  A basic understanding of the categories cheese fall under.
5.                  A guide on how much cheese is required for each person in a tasting.
6.                  A basic knowledge of what types of wine are best served with certain categories of cheese.
7.                  A guide on the correct glasses to use for the categories of wine to be served.
8.                  A desire to experiment with new cheeses, and wines.
9.                  An appreciation of food and beverage in its most simple form. (no cooking required)
10.              A plan to use your new found knowledge.
