Hill Country Vineyards & Wineries

There are 16 vineyards/wineries within 45 miles of Biscuit Hill and the closest one is only 10 miles away. The Texas Hill Country Wine Trail starts here. There is so much to see and do along the way as you meander from winery to winery, Biscuit Hill provides its guests with three "Sip N See Trail" guides. We are unable to provide links to all the wineries, but we have a few of our favorites with their links below. We also have the Texas State Association link & a Wine Events web site below as well.

Enjoy the wine trail in a chauffeured limo, see their web site for details. Wine Tours of Texas

Biscuit Hill's Sip N See Trails:
We have put together three itinerary sheets of things to see and do while you go about the Texas Hill Country sipping wine at all of our area vineyards and wineries. This way you won't miss a thing along the way that may be of interest to you. (all stops are optional) Each Trail takes all day to do, so make your plans accordingly. When you make your reservation, let us know you would like a Sip N See Trail itinerary and we will have one waiting for you on your arrival.

Below we have provided links to some of the Wineries so you can see if they have any special events going on while you are in our area.

Dry Comal Creek is our closest Vineyard/Winery. They are on Sip N See Trail Guide #1 Click on their logo to go to their site.

Fawn Crest Vineyards at Canyon Lake offers dry wines only, and is a boutique vineyard smaller than the major vineyards listed here. Wayne & Patty are great hosts, and you will be enjoying your wine tasting overlooking the vineyards, and Canyon Lake. They are open Noon - 6pm Saturday & Noon - 4pm Sundays only, but they will be offering Lake View Sunset Tastings with heavy Hors d'oeuvres by advanced booking in the future, so check back here to see their notice of this new offering. Or you can call their number and speak with them concerning the Sunset Tastings. 830-935-2407

Sister Creek Vineyards is outside on Borne in Sisterdale. They serve European-style wines made in an 1885 cotton gin. They are on Sip N See Trail Guide #1. See their web site for all their details or events.

Bella Vista is the only commercial olive oil producing grove in the state of Texas. It also has a vineyard, and pick your own Black Berry events in season. They offer tours daily. They are on Sip N See Trail Guide #2. Click on their logo to go to their site.

Driftwood Vineyards and Winery have a wonderful selection of more unusual wines. They are on Sip N See Trail Guide #2. Many of the wineries have places to picnic, this is a good place to enjoy the countryside as you picnic. See the web link for more details.

Texas Hills Vineyards and winery make a great physical statement. They have a wonderful Port and their sweet wines can't be beat. they also offer cheese and other goodies for sale in their gift shop. Go to their web site to get more detail.

Mandola Estate Winery is outside of Dripping Springs. They pair handmade Italian-style wines with a Texas accent to an Old World-style Italian market. A world class restaurant is being built next door and should be open late June or early July. They do not have a stand alone web site so we can not provide a link. They are on our Biscuit Hill Inn's "Sip N See Trail" Guide #2, however.

Woodrose Winery is outside Stonewall and is the 1st vinery you come to on our Sip N See Trail Guide #3. We love the individual tasting tables instead of standing up at a bar with 20 other people as is the case everywhere else. They even offer for an additional price a cheese and cracker tray to enjoy while you are being served your wines. www.woodrosewinery.com

Torre di Pietra Vineyards - is the next stop on Sip N See Guide #3. It has the best gift shop of all the wineries, and their wines are wonderful as well. You have to buy one if not just for the labels they have on their wines. What a treat!!! I know you will enjoy this one. www.texashillcountrywine.com
